My Against All Odds '08 Predictions

Finally, I get back to this blog, and hopefully it's for good.
  • Eric Young vs. James Storm (w/ Jackie Moore) (DCS Match, Storm picks the stip.): This match is to decide who the real drinking champion is. It's been decided that James Storm, the man who won last time, decides the stipulation for this match. Does anybody see a bar room brawl coming out of this? As far as winner goes, I think Eric Young is going to win again. That is, unless Storm pulls out some crazy tactics that gain him the win. But, I'm really leaning towards Young. PROBABLE WINNER: ERIC YOUNG
  • Traci Brooks vs. Payton Banks: I think Payton Banks is going to win. Robert Roode will probably cause some type of distraction and it'll cost Brooks the match. Plus, TNA operates really funny so it'll definately be Rain--I mean Payton winning it. PROBABLE WINNER: PAYTON BANKS
  • Scott Steiner vs. Petey Williams (Case vs. Case match): This match is for the two remaining Feast or Fired cases. There has been a pretty decent war going on between Petey & Scott about who gets which case. Well, Jim Cornette found a solution; a case vs. case match with the winner taking both cases. I'm all for Petey bringing home the gold. He won't win the Heavyweight title, but he'll definately get the X Division title. Power to the Maple Leaf Muscle! PROBABLE WINNER: PETEY WILLIAMS
  • Booker T vs. Robert Roode: Booker T needs his night of revenge and he said we'll never forget AAO, and I wouldn't doubt him for a minute. It's good to have the old Booker back. So, Booker T has this. PROBABLE WINNER: BOOKER T
  • Motor City Machineguns & Jay Lethal vs. Team 3D & Johnny Devine (c) (Hardcore Street Fight): For those of you who don't know, this match has many stipulations. If MCMG & Lethal win, the person who gains the pinfall is the new X Divison champion and Team 3D can only wrestle when both of them reach below 275 lbs.; basically 3D has a weight limit if they win. If Team 3D & Devine win, the X Division is disbanded forever and the title means nothing. Team 3D & Devine have been winning by knocking the ref out as of recent and I wouldn't doubt it they did it this time so I'm saying the match goes in favor of Brothers Devon, Ray, & Devine. Watch this, the one time I pick them they lose. Excellent. PROBABLE WINNERS: TEAM 3D & JOHNNY DEVINE
  • AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. BG James & Bullet Bob Armstrong (TNA Tag Titles): Supposedly there is going to be a presenting of colors before the match & the Marines are going to be in attendence to support Bullet Bob and BG James; they have a long history with the Marines so they have major support. AJ & Tomko have been having some major differences lately but I highly doubt that'll make much of a difference. Kip James still seems really ticked off about not being BG's partner, even if it is BG's Dad. When they were cutting their promo on iMPACT! on Thursday Kip sounded really fake, which tells me he might be planning something. PROBABLE WINNERS: TOMKO & AJ
  • Awesome Kong (c) vs. ODB (Women's Title): Something tells me this is going to be another Beth Phoenix/Candice Michelle situation. Just like WWE is saving the belt for Candice, TNA is probably saving the belt for Gail Kim. So, it's still going to be Kong's. Should still be a good match regardless. Plus, isn't there going to be a rematch next week that's going to be a no DQ match? PROBABLE WINNER: AWESOME KONG
  • Abyss vs. Judas Mesias (w/ James Mitchell) (Barbed Wire Massacre II): This match is so bloody that it had to be pre-taped in Orlando rather than done live in South Carolina. With this match, I'm really not sure. Probably Judas Mesias because he beat him last time and TNA is probably trying to ECW these guys, therefore the heel wins first before the face does. Therefore, put Mesias on a winning streak against Abyss and at Abyss' last chance he wins. So, this ought to be a good match seeing as I'm a fan of these types of matches. Plus, didn't ECW do something like this before? PROBABLE WINNER: JUDAS MESIAS
  • Kurt Angle (c) vs. Christian Cage (Heavyweight title) (w/ Samoa Joe as Special Enforcer): So many wildcards in this match it's not even funny. You've got Karen & AJ who'll get involved in a milli-second if it'll keep the belt on Kurt. But, you've got Tomko on Cage's side to counteract Karen & AJ. AND, you've got Joe as the special enforcer. Kurt tried to threaten Joe to be fair on iMPACT! and Joe was buying none of it. Therefore, Christian is probably going to win but who remembers TNA's new policy? If someone wins on a DQ the champion still walks away the champ. Therefore, Christian Cage will win BUT Kurt Angle keeps the title. PROBABLE WINNER: CHRISTIAN CAGE BY DQ

And that's about the long and short of this PPV. Stick around for the reactions/results of the PPV.

Final Resolution Reactions, Show back to WWE, Harris & Killings to WWE, Current Rumble Participants

Here are my reactions to Final Resolution. Rather belated yes, but here they are none the less.
  • LAX vs. Rock n Rave Infection: This match was overall good and decent way to start off the PPV. The crowd popped huge when Shelly Martinez (or, as they call her in TNA, Selinas) made her debut. Christy Hemme's reaction was the greatest too. And, as usual, I liked Hernandez all during the match. Hernandez = Very talented individual.
  • Kaz vs. Black Reign: This match was overall decent. Kaz taking Black Reign's "arctic fox" was one of those head scratchers but I hope Marlina is happy with her newly decorated cage and new name. But, anyway, not my favorite match but definately interesting.
  • Gail Kim (c) vs. Awesome Kong (No DQ) (Knockouts Champ): I liked this match a lot. TNA is really pushing it's boundaries with it's women's division. They're doing stuff that WWE wouldn't even TRY to do. This match was REALLY good though, easily the show stealer on the PPV. There were a lot of rumors going around post-match that Gail Kim had hurt her knee after that hanging incident but those are not true. I loved this match, and WWE wouldn't dare to EVER main event their women's division either.
  • Judas Mesias vs. Abyss: I was completely blown away when Judas Mesias won this. I mean, Abyss has been manhandling everyone else but I guess Judas was just too much this time around. It's great to see Mesias back and especially since we finally saw the match that had such a huge build up. Almost lighting him on fire was pretty weird however, although it would have been interesting to see.
  • Booker T & Sharmell vs. Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks: Not my favorite match in the world, especially since Robert Roode forced Ms. Brooks to basicially follow him like a little sheep, as usual. Anyway, it wasn't that bad and I wasn't expecting Sharmell to go in at all, but she's the one who got the pin fall, unfortunately she was taken out by Robert Roode. I can't wait to see what Booker does to him, especially since Brooks is gone and this Peyton Banks chick is in.
  • MCMG & Jay Lethal vs. Team 3D & Johnny Devine: Holy schnikes! Johnny Devine almost died like 3 times in the duration of this match AND he ended up getting one of the injury Xes from the referee. Other than that, Guns did a good job selling their hand injuries and Team 3D thought with their heads when they did the Devon holds on the rope/Brother Ray walks idea. Anyway, I liked the match except for the ending. I could be biased however seeing as I'm a Johnny Devine fan.
  • AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. Kevin Nash & Samoa Joe (Tag Team Titles): Okay, so maybe I was wrong about Nash & Joe. Anyway, Nash just walking away is going to create some good "angry Joe" promos and some good Nash vs. Joe matches. I'm excited. It's really weird seeing AJ on one side with Tomko his estranged partner, like they still talk but AJ is all with Kurt and Tomko is just off on his own. It's just a really strange way for things to run.
  • Kurt Angle (c) vs. Christian Cage (Heavyweight Title): I was right on one thing, this match rode on who AJ chose, and personally I think AJ made a pretty bad decision. Nonetheless, this match was all Cage until AJ "stabbed him in the back". I liked the match and hopefully Cage gets another title shot.

Now that's enough of that. Onto news ..

There was a rumor going that WWE signed a multi-time world champion and there was a lot going around about who it would be. The next rumor that went around: Paul "Big Show" Wright would be making his return to the WWE ring. If he is indeed coming back, I'm excited, probably one of my favorite wrestlers and even though he maybe skinnier he's still the Big Show. Big Show vs. Mark Henry or Big Daddy V anyone?

One of the current rumors going around is that WWE has signed Ron Killings to a contract. Other than that, nothing else (to me anyway) is known. I'll keep you update.

A lot of people are saying that Chris Harris, who is officially done with TNA, has signed with WWE but there are a lot of conflicting reports. Some are saying he signed a regular deal and a few people are saying that his agent has only signed some type of deal with WWE. No matter what, even if his agent did sign a deal, he's still probably going to WWE anyway. I can't wait to see him back on my television screen and hopefully not whiny. Also, his old AMW partner James Storm inked a new contract with TNA.

Here is a list of the people who are already confirmed on WWE.com as participants in the Royal Rumble: Umaga, Snitsky, Hardcore Holly, The Miz, John Morrison, Hornswoggle, Mick Foley, Batista, Undertaker, Kane, Jamie Noble, Finley, Cody Rhodes, Carlito, & Santino Marella. I'll keep you updated on participants as they're announced.

Massaro & DaBone, Killings in WWE, Rock Might Induct Family into HOF, McIntyre to Raw

Happy New Year! My resolution: Post here more. I think I have a little bit of a good thing going here and I keep screwing it up by not posting sooooo ..

The general feelings are, based on what's going on at house shows for Raw is that Ashley Massaro will be moving to Raw. Raw also hosts Paul London whom Ashley is currently dating. Anyway, she'll most likely be managing Atlas DaBone who is coming up to the main Raw roster in the near future. Ashley, prior to DaBone's matchs at house shows, has been going out there and speaking about Survivor and how she's glad to be back. After the match she'll then leave with DaBone. So, put two and two together and that is the conclusion you can come away with.

Word is that WWE might be "getting rowdy" again with Ron Killings. WWE has supposedly offered Killings a contract but no word on what he has said. I'll keep you updated because Ron Killings coming to WWE will make me extremely happy.

WWE is interested in having The Rock induct Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia into the HOF and having been (supposedly) sending out feelers to him. The Rock has been really interested in doing it (according to sources) and it all depends on if his movie schedule will allow it. I hope it does because that'd be a pretty nice touch to an already great day for Johnson and Maivia.

Remember, tonight is TNA's first PPV of 2008 Final Resolution. Come back here after the PPV to hear my reactions. It might be a little delayed because I'm not going to be reading the online update like I usually do, I'll probably be downloading the torrent for it. Anyway, you'll definately see them tomorrow here and on The Daily Suplex, which now has it's own link on this page.

Final Resolution 2007 Predictions

And here are my prediction's for this Sunday's PPV Final Resolution.
  • LAX vs. Rock n Rave Infection: I HIGHLY predict that LAX has this one in the bag. Word on the street is that Shelly Martinez has confirmed her appearance this Sunday so she'll becoming out as a member of the Latino Nation. Therefore, she will fully distract Jimmy Rave, Hoyt, and Hemme and give LAX the victory. PROBABLE WINNERS: LAX
  • Abyss vs. Judas Mesias: Abyss hasn't lost to any of them yet, so I wouldn't be amazed if he won this one. He's beat Raven, Black Reign, and Rellik at least once each so he'll definately beat Judas, as much as he's the head honcho of all them. Anyway, Abyss for the win. PROBABLE WINNER: ABYSS
  • Kaz vs. Black Reign: Kaz is one pissed off dude right now, so he's going to come out swinging. Remember, Black Reign has a bad track record at PPVs but Kaz is pretty good on PPVs so I think Kaz has this. Plus, who wouldn't be pissed off if their opponent put a rat over their head in a bag? Yeah, Kaz has this one. PROBABLE WINNER: KAZ
  • Booker T & Sharmell vs. Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks: Ms. Brooks wants absolutely nothing to do this match so it's going to be all Roode during the match. I've also heard that this weekend they'll begin the full on seperation of Roode & Brooks that should give Booker & Shamell the clear victory. Therefore, Booker & Sharmell will win on the fact that Ms. Brooks either assists or just walks away. PROBABLE WINNER: BOOKER T & SHARMELL
  • Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong (Knockout Champion) (No DQ): Alright, I would love to say Awesome Kong but they've given Kim a lot to work with it being no DQ. This could also mean Kong shines brightly as well because now she can do more. Plus, I want to see the belt OFF Gail Kim. At least for like a month or something, I hate seeing someone with the belt for too long a time. Plus, I think it's Kong's time to shine pretty soon (even though she was eliminated at the 4th seed area in the gauntlet on Thursday). I'll jump out on a limb, and say Kong. PROBABLE WINNER: AWESOME KONG
  • MCMG & Jay Lethal vs. Team 3D & Johnny Devine (Ultimate X): Don't even need to discuss this one. Yeah, they may have injured MCMG's hands but that doesn't mean anything. It's time for Lethal to get his gold back because it's only so long before this sorta gets old. No explanation needed, MCMG & Lethal. PROBABLE WINNERS: MCMG & JAY LETHAL
  • AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash (Tag Team Titles): The one thing I always remember is that in TNA weird things happen with their titles. They'll totally lead you in one direction and then just drag you in the other and you'll be like, "Holy crap! I didn't see that coming!" So, their title matchs are generally really hard to predict. You have a pissed off Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash but at the same time something odd could click with AJ & Tomko and they could just go off and do it. Plus Cage or Angle could break things up, or make them worse between the champs. I'll say Nash & Joe just because I think Tomko is going to go off on his own and he'll be tied to AJ as a tag team champ. PROBABLE WINNERS: SAMOA JOE & KEVIN NASH
  • Kurt Angle (c) vs. Christian Cage (Heavyweight Title): Now this match is really going to throw me off. It all weighs on what AJ does, we already know that Tomko is out of the picture after what he said to Angle last Thursday. The question is, what is AJ going to do? TNA has done a good job of making AJ just look completely clueless and able to throw you off as to who will win. But, no matter whose side that AJ takes, Angle has found a way around everybody he's faced thus far. Therefore, Angle. PROBABLE WINNER: KURT ANGLE

Stick around later for my reactions to the PPV.

Armageddon Predictions

Here are my predictions about tonight's WWE Armageddon 2007 PPV:
  • Finley vs. Great Khali: I'm all for Finley on this one, it's going to take some tricky manuevering from him and Hornswoggle but I got the feeling that they've got it. I mean, Khali has been attacking him for the past two weeks and it only makes sense that Finley just goes for it and wins. So yeah, Finley all the way. PROBABLE WINNER: FINLEY
  • Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Kennedy: Shawn Michaels must pull this off, no possible way he can lose to Kennedy. Kennedy has been trying to play mindgames I think the only time the guy playing mindgames actually won, was maybe 2-3 years ago in a match I probably don't even remember (I definately don't remember). Shawn Michaels for the win on this one. PROBABLE WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS
  • CM Punk & Kane vs. Big Daddy V & Mark Henry: Who didn't this match coming? I had a feeling they were going to have this kind of match on PPV, because we all know the ECW title isn't worth defending on a PPV scale. Dumbies. Anyway, I got the feeling that CM Punk and Kane are going to pull off a victory on this one. Yeah, BDV & Henry are HUGE AND they've got Matt Striker, but CM Punk and Kane have a little bit of momentum going into this and I think it's enough to carry them. PROBABLE WINNERS: CM PUNK & KANE
  • Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy (Winner gets a shot at the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble): Easy one, the Hardys always get screwed therefore Triple H has this. We all know the Hardys have the talent, they just haven't been given a full on main event set-up and they're starting to get it now (at least one of them is) but I don't think they're going to get carried to the title. Plus, Triple H only sees one thing in his life: gold. PROBABLE WINNER: TRIPLE H
  • Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Mickie James (WWE Women's Championship): We all know that Mickie James is going to be injured in the process of this match, win or lose. Anyway, welllll .. I really don't know. I would love to say Beth Phoenix keeps it so that Candice Michelle can win it back, and that would make sense. So, I'll go with that. PROBABLE WINNER: BETH PHOENIX
  • MVP (c) vs. Rey Mysterio (US Championship): Oddly enough, I think MVP is gonna keep it, he could end up saving it for the return of Matt Hardy BUT Rey could win it and then lose it back to MVP. Hmm, this is a toughie. For the record, I'll say MVP. PROBABLE WINNER: MVP
  • Randy Orton (c) vs. Chris Jericho (WWE Championship): Chris Jericho just got here, and I think he needs to stay out of the title picture at the moment. Keep him as a mid-carder/upper mid-carder and then just build him up. Plus, they should build up Randy Orton as unstoppable a little bit more too. Therefore, Randy Orton will come out victorious tonight. PROBABLE WINNER: RANDY ORTON
  • Batista (c) vs. Undertaker vs. Edge (Triple Threat) (World Championship): Oh damn, I have a really good feeling that Batista is not leaving the champ tonight, it's just that simple. And Edge is on a roll but he just got off injury so why throw the strap on him right after he gets back? I say give it to Undertaker, overcome the adversity of Vickie and Edge and finally beat Batista for the title with Edge legally being involved. Taker is gonna be the new champion leaving Armageddon. PROBABLE WINNER: UNDERTAKER

And that's about it for Armageddon. I'll post my reactions after the PPV and a little bit of news later.

Delayed Turning Point Reactions ..15th Anniversary Information ... The Truth is Gone from TNA

Here are my delayed Turning Point reactions. Dude, I suck so bad.

  • ODB & Roxxi Leveaux vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky: I was a little taken a back by this match but may be they could step over the one storyline women's boundary and start something here? Decent match however. ODB and the "liquid courage" never quit.
  • Team 3D & Johnny Devine vs. MCMG & Jay Lethal: Holy crap I wasn't expecting that! This has got me excited and seeing Johnny Devine is great, I really like that guy and not only as a wrestler. Anyway, they still have the title even after the ladder match. It's good stuff and go Team 3D! Teach MCMG how to play the game!
  • Feast or Fired: Well, Petey Williams, Senshi, Scott Steiner, and BG James. Hot damn this'll be interesting. But, with Christopher Daniel's winning the departing Senshi's briefcase I can't wait to see how this turns out. And Matt Morgan needs to stay more on top of this stuff!
  • Eric Young vs. James Storm: Textbook, just didn't see the miscommunications coming in there.
  • Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong: Holy crap she lost it! Best match on the card, this feud is really good so they should keep it going. Plus, both of these chicks can wrestle a great match.
  • Abyss & Raven vs. Black Reign & Rellik: Raven on the face side of this match? What is this? I was really confused by this but I marked out anyway because it's Raven, and that's just how I am about him. Anyway, Rellik jammed tacks in Raven's mouth, nice really nice. I always mark out over gimmick, hardcore matches like this so this was my cup of tea, just like the Hardcore title was before the 24/7 rule (beginning of the end really). Unfortunately, Rhino had to pull out because of a family emergency.
  • Booker T & Kaz vs. Robert Roode & Christian Cage: There was straight up nothing memorable about it except that Kaz got me points on Stablewars for an appearance and a win. And Roode and Cage got me points for an appearance and a loss. That's about it.
  • Angle Alliance vs. Eric Young, Samoa Joe, & Kevin Nash: I hope TNA really learned their lesson with this one. They always thrust WWE dropouts and guys with histories of problems into the main event scene and then boom, they drop out and go. Samoa Joe did a really good shoot out in the ring, went over board but he even yelled at Dixie to fire him. Eric Young is now launched into all of this, probably just the break he was looking for. Ridiculously dumb match other than that.

Turning Point was really good, but a total disaster at other points. I look forward to the cases being opened this week on iMPACT!.

Raw's 15th Anniversary is going to be awesome and complete mark-out night for all. Trish, Lita, Stone Cold, Hogan (didn't he say he wasn't coming back?), and just about anybody else you can imagine. The Bisch even! 15 man battle royal tonight and I've got some predictions on who might be in for a competition but I'm wayyy too lazy to repeat them here. Word on the streets is that either Sid Vicious or Bret Hart is going to be there, but that's highly doubted. Carlito and Jeff Hardy ought to be interesting too.

Just a really good, mark-out night tonight. I'll post reactions afterward.

TNA Turning Point PPV Predictions

Yep, I'm back to give my predictions for tomorrow's Turning Point PPV. Here goes.
  • Feast or Fired (3 Titles Shot [ON A POLE], 1 pink slip [ON A POLE]): This match is totally Vince Russo from start to finish. Anyway, it's basically a battle royal with three winners winning a title shot at the X Division, Tag Team, or the Heavyweight title. So far the 15 people involved have not been announced so with the three choices I've gotta take a wild guess and for the guy who's losing once again a while guess. Anyway, I'll throw my hat into this and say Christopher Daniels for the X, Hernandez for the Tag, Chris Harris for the Heavyweight title, and Raven to be fired. Unfortunately, for Raven, it just has to be that way. WINNERS: DANIELS, HERNANDEZ, HARRIS///LOSER: RAVEN
  • ODB & Roxxi Leveaux vs. Angelina Love & Velvet Sky: Onto the women who were given stupid names. Anyway, ODB and Roxxi are the toughest chicks in the new division but you can't count out the other two who might just lie, cheat and steal their way to victory in style. I'm leaning towards Love & Sky for this one, they just seem like the shoe in for it. Buttt, ODB and Roxxi sound good too....Hmmm...Ehhh, I'll say ODB & Roxxi. Roxxi has VKM in her corner so they could swing things in their favor. WINNERS: ODB AND ROXXI LEVEAUX
  • Eric Young vs. James Storm: This is really interesting and I like how this match came about. Eric Young is gonna win this, he's beat Storm at drinking so why not in a match? WINNER: ERIC YOUNG
  • Booker T & Kaz vs. Robert "It Pays To Be" Roode & Christian Cage: With the Coalition being over and Styles trying everything in his power to make it up to Cage it's a pretty good guess that Styles is gonna come down to the ring and really screw everything up. Ms. Brooks could have her final run in with the fan and officially be fired. Brooks could cost the match too. Therefore, Kaz & Booker have this, plus Booker is on a push right now since coming and you can't losing an entry PPV match, just not possible. Kaz is on a roll too. So, Kaz & Booker for the win (ftw). WINNERS: KAZ & BOOKER T
  • Abyss & Rhino vs. Blackdust & Rellik (Match of 10,000 Tacks): What is up with TNA putting Rhino with all the freaks of the place? What? Are they trying to make him look like one of them because it's not working and even if it did it would be an awful gimmick. Anyway, Abyss has the momentum as does Rhino, therefore they will pull off the victory tonight. Plus neither Blackdust or Rellik have won a match against either on PPV. They also seem like a really unorganized team. I wouldn't mind seeing the return of Mesias either. WINNERS: RHINO & ABYSS
  • Team 3D & Johnny Devine vs. Motor City Machine Guns & Jay Lethal (Tables Match): Team 3D & Devine will lose and the guys will get the title back. It's as simple as that and needs no explanation. You can't have a match at the beginning of the night to find out who gets the title shot if the champion doesn't have the title. WINNERS: MCMG & JAY LETHAL
  • Gail Kim (c) vs. Awesome Kong (Women's Title): Awesome has this, we do need a new champ but I'm sure after this Kim will get it back. Buttt...Kim could find a way. Ehh, I don't know, I think I'll go back to Gail Kim. WINNER: GAIL KIM
  • The Angle Alliance vs. Hall, Nash, and Samoan Joseph: Hmm, wow. I'm not sure on this one. I'd love to say the Angle Alliance but with Tomko injured who knows who the replacement will be. Anyway, Hall's return and with the way Joe has been wrestling lately they've got this. WINNERS: HALL, NASH & SAMOAN JOSEPH

Wow, thanks to TNA for being predictable that was amazingly easy. I'll be back later with news and hopefully you catch the PPV tomorrow. I'll post my thoughts on it either on Monday or directly after the PPV.

Feast or Fired? ... Update on Sting ... Hogan Divorce? ... Tomko Injured ... Hardy Injured

Here is a quick update on all the stuff I missed randomly during the week.

TNA has a new sort of gimmick match announced for their 12/2 Turning Point PPV. It's called Feast or Fired. It's a battle royal where there are 4 briefcases hanging from 4 poles (go Russo!) each with a title shot (tag team, X Division, & Heavyweight) and one that has a pink slip. I'm really excited for this concept for some reason. It'd be interesting to see who got fired. Once I know the full roster for the match I'll post it and give my thoughts on each contestant.

Sting is currently on break and TNA has offered him a contract extension. No word, however, on if he's agreed on it or signed it.

According to sources Hulk Hogan's wife has filed for divorce. I had a strange feeling this was coming because the last season of their show wasn't that happy between the two from what I've seen. Plus, the stress of what happened to Nick and his friend could have played a role. When information becomes available I'll let you know. Other word is that this took Hogan by surprise and it took an interview guy to tell him what happened. Take that for what it's worth.

According to sources Tomko went in for emergency surgery on a torn muscle. Obviously, this happened in Japan. When more becomes known I'll post some more about that.

Matt Hardy also had to go under an appendectomi the other day. It was on the night of the Smackdown/ECW tapings. He is set to be out 2-3 months. In my opinion it seems like he's hit a spot of bad luck as of late. But that's just me. He's missed out on a few matches even if they have been kayfabe injuries (and one that wasn't, thanks Rey). Personally I feel that he's been being screwed out of the US title and he's just not having a good time.

My get-well wishes go out to Tomko and Matt Hardy. =) Get well soon guys!

Survivor Series Reactions

Survivor Series was an ehhhh PPV. Then again, for some reason I haven't been a big fan of WWE PPVs and TV shows lately. So, here are my reactions to the matches.
  • CM Punk vs. Miz vs. John Morrison (Triple Threat) (ECW Title): Who called that? I did! Anyway, I can't really remember much from the match but I do remember last night really liking it and thinking it was a good match to start the PPV. Which is something about 85% of wrestling fans are saying (if you're not part of that 85% you're not mentally right.) Anyway, I was hoping CM Punk would keep the title and I guess WWE has been impressed with his work as champ because they've kept him as such.
  • Beth Phoenix (c), Jillian Hall, Melina, Victoria, & Layla vs. Mickie James, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Maria, and Kelly Kelly: Hmmm, I thought this match was alright. With only one real wrestler on the face side I was a skeptical about it but from people watching the PPV on TV (I do online PBP updates because I'm unfortunately kinda poor and to boot our TVs have cable stuff built in so I don't have a box) Kelly Kelly was doing really good. I'm all for Kelly Kelly getting some wrestling training in, going to Raw, and fighting it out for the Women's Title. Next draft my friends, next draft.
  • Triple H, The Hardys, Rey Mysterio, & Kane vs. Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, BDV, & Finley (Traditional Survivor Series Tournament): The promo that aired before this was hilarious, they just had to bring up Katie Vick. Anyway, that was majorly hilarious and showed how much of an ass Triple H is sometimes. Anyway, Matt Hardy was out and considered elimanated because of his "leg injury". In the end, the surviving team was Team Trips and it was Triple H and Jeff Hardy as the survivors. From what I hear it was alright, but I wish I had seen it first hand.
  • Batista vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell) (World Heavyweight Title): Dude! Edge! Holy crap! What a great return for him and NICE JOB throwing him back in with the Undertaker. I was highly impressed with this match, even though Batista supposedly did a bad gig job and you could see him slice himself. Whatever, anyway really good match and I was happy that I got it right.
  • Cade & Murdoch (c) vs. Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly (WWE Tag Team Titles): Disappointment city dude. I was kinda bummed that Rhodes and Holly didn't win but then again Rhodes needs more experience plus they could get another run at the titles later. So, whatever.
  • Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali: Dude, what in the blue hell happened here? A man, Finley, who was a heel maybe a match or two before and is now suddenly face and helping out his buddy Horny? What? Huh? Who? Yeah, and who else kept forgetting that Finley was in the SS match? I know I kept doing it. Anyway, match sucked. Plain and simple.
  • Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels (WWE Title) (Special Stipulations): Dude! That was awesome! I really liked this match. Michaels was just ripping off everyone's finishing moves. He used the crossface, angle lock, and his usual sharpshooter. I was like, "Dude! Crossface! Ring the damn bell!" It was great. Anyway, I liked this match, unfortunately Orton was able to pull off the victory. It was good stuff though.

I'll post some news tidbits from the past few days later. Also, who's ready for RAW IS JERICHO!?!

Survivor Series Predictions

Alright, the PPV that I once again know nothing about. I have no clue what is going on with me and WWE PPVs. I'm just not as into WWE as I was before. Anyway, here goes nothing.
  • Beth Phoenix (c), Jillian Hall, Melina, Victoria & Layla vs. Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Torrie Wilson, Maria, & Michelle McCool - Hmm, this certainly is an interesting one and yes this is indeed a tag match rather than an elimination style thing (which would have been cool). Anyway, Beth Phoenix & Co have more wrestlers on their side which definately works out in their favor while Mickie James is the only real wrestler on her side. Something tells me this match is going to be all about retribution between the two teams. Anyway, I still think Mickie & Co will pull off the victory in some amazing fashion. PROBABLE WINNERS: MICKIE JAMES, TORRIE WILSON, MICHELLE MCCOOL, KELLY KELLY & MARIA
  • Hornswoggle vs. The Great Khali: Lots of interference and Hornswoggle is going to Guerrero his way to the win, by Guerrero I mean lie, cheat, and steal. Hopefully we see a Mick Foley run in as well. Maybe McMahon will stick up for his son? Anyway, this match is all Hornswoggle. PROBABLE WINNER: HORNSWOGGLE
  • Cade & Murdoch (c) vs. Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly (World Tag Team Championship): This is a given, Cade & Murdoch haven't been on the same page since the Mickie James incidents so this might be the final implosion of the two. Rhodes & Holly on the other hand are on a roll plus they're an odd couple tag team therefore they have to win (just like MVP & Matt Hardy and Miz & Morrison). PROBABLE WINNERS: RHODES & HOLLY
  • CM Punk (c) vs. Miz vs. John Morrison (Triple Threat) (ECW Title): Eeee, wow. I really don't know. I think that Morrison is supposed to get the title back once he came back, but I also think CM Punk should hold it longer. He's been a great champion. I just don't think Miz is ready to the hold the title so I guess we're down to CM Punk and Morrison. Hmmm ... I'll once again go out on a limb and say CM Punk. PROBABLE WINNER: CM PUNK
  • Triple H, The Hardys, Rey Mysterio, & Kane vs. Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Finley, & BDV (Traditional Survivor Series match): Hmmmmm, alright still standing for HHH's side will be (give or take a 1 or 2) Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and/or Kane. On Umaga's side it'll either be Mr. Kennedy, Umaga, and/or BDV. Now, for the winner, it's going to be Triple H's side. They've got all the amazing guys so, in the words of Vince McMahon, "No chance in hell." Plus, Umaga's team has too many personalities that'll clash. PROBABLE WINNERS: TRIPLE H, THE HARDYS, REY MYSTERIO, & KANE
  • Batista vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell) (World Heavyweight Title): Hmm, this I'm really not sure about. Like in all honesty I have no clue what so ever. Hmmm...let's do a run down of the odds. Batista is just going insane right now (like he does before every PPV where he has a gimmick match) and this is Undertaker's speciality. I'll have to say Batista, I have no clue why however. PROBABLE WINNER: BATISTA
  • Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels (WWE Championship) (Special Stipulations): Alright, no SCM from Michaels and no blatent DQs from Orton. Okay, sounds stupid. Anyway, Michaels all the way. I know he can do it without the Music, I mean he's got a sharpshooter he's good at right? But, they could screw him out of it by having the ref down and out while Orton taps out. Orton gets a weapon then an RKO, and boom, still champ. I'm still pulling for Michaels though. This last scenario is an idea proposed on stablewars.com. I also smell MONTREAL SCREWJOB PT. 2...Nevermind. PROBABLE WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS

See ya'll later. And, as always this will also be posted on http://www.thedailysuplex.com. I'll post some news later.

TNA Creative Changes ... Controversy over new TNA DVD

Today is a day entirely dedicated to TNA it seems. Anyway, there seems to be some changes on the creative side of TNA. Jeff Jarrett is still in charge and Vince Russo and Dutch Mantel are still around. However, Mike Teney and Jeremy Borash have officially been added to the Creative/Booking team. Abyss has also begun to sit in with them so it should be interesting to see if anything new does occur within TNA.

There is supposedly some issues with the new DVD on the 1st year of TNA by the uppers in TNA. They didn't get to approve of some of the scenes in the DVD so they're rather angry. There were thoughts on editing it, but they probably won't do it therefore, rush out and get it while you can! It's on my christmas list.

Peace!

JBL yells at The Miz and John Morrison ... Abyss Injured ... Havok back to Johnny Devine ... Kevin Thorn Being Punished

Yesterday at the Smackdown tapings JBL took a bunch of people aside (most notably Matt Hardy, The Miz, John Morrison, MVP, and CM Punk). He yelled at Miz and Morrison for their color commentary on ECW and for completely tearing into a guy they were trying to put over and distracting the audience. He then yelled at them again for a match that I guess didn't go so well on Smackdown against Matt Hardy and MVP. He told them they need to apologize to Hardy, MVP, and Punk because they made them look bad. Miz apologized (he's not that much of an ass after all) while Morrison told JBL, in simplest terms, "Go eff yourself". There was a little bit of a physical altercation which was quickly broken. That is just completely ridiculous in my opinion. JBL is a "wrestling God" on TV, not back stage. I understand you know he's a veteran but it's none of his business, but I guess that's just how things work out.

When Abyss was pushed off the stage in the box by Dustin Rhodes and Johnny Stamboli at Genesis he suffered a minor shoulder injury. They wanted him to escape the box through a trap door but he refused to do so. At least he tries to make things look legit and takes the bumps for it. I respect him a little bit more now.

I know you don't care but Havok and decided to go back to his original ring name of Johnny Devine. There goes my dream. I'm sure he'll go back to a "normal" gimmick too but Havok's dressing really isn't that bad. Plus it was completely his idea. Speaking of names, Johnny Stamboli's Redrum gimmick will be called Rellik (which is Killer spelt backwards).

The reason we haven't seen much from Kevin Thorn on ECW is because he's being "punished" for botching a finisher against KC James on ECW a few weeks back. I do remember seeing this finish and I believe that the way he landed he almost broke James neck. I mean, it was a pretty sloppy match to begin with. Anyway, that's supposedly but I would also blame the fact that they have absolutely nothing for him. Now, all I need is my Stevie question answered...

WWE Screws Up .. Again

Still, absolutely nothing. Anyway, WWE had a major screw up today. They released the cover for December 2007's WWE Magazine and, let's just say this, they made the Jericho return painfully obvious. Jericho is on the cover and it says they'll reveal the real reasons behind his "shocking" return. It's supposed to hit news stands next week (later in the week) but as is custom subscribers get it a week early and they always release the cover a week early. So, way to go WWE. I applaud you.

Jericho Returns Next Monday ... Ms. Brooks Faints

Really slow day today. The biggest news to come out today is that Jericho is indeed returning next Monday as shown by the new viral video done on Raw tonight (or last night). This is taken from eWrestlingnews.com:

Here are some of the phrases that flashed :

X+1=Y
J=9+1

BREAK_THE_CODE
BREAK_THE_WALLS

6_DAYS
23_hours
33_MINUTES

The Answer is the Code
19_LAUNCH
NEXT_MONDAY

Good stuff. I'm excited now.

And Ms. Brooks had a legitimate faint yesterday at Genesis. That was not an act at all. They believe it was the heat that got to her. She was out and about later in the show so she's alright.

Post-Genesis Opinions ... Redrum Reaction ... Booker T Reaction ... Lena Signed by WWE ... Fatu Not Done With TNA

Well, as promised, my Post-Genesis reactions and several other pieces of news.
  • Abyss vs. Black Reign (Shop of Horrors): I think we all knew Abyss was going to win this one. But, we weren't expecting the debut of Johnny Stamboli aka. Redrum. The thing that sucks is that nobody had any clue who it is but I'm sure on the next iMPACT! those who don't do stuff online will find out. It's nice to see a new face involved in this. Hopefully we can suck him into Serotonin one of these days.
  • Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D: This was an easy one and unfortunately we saw no cool run ins. It was nice to see MCMG win though, and supposedly Team 3D put them over really well, which I liked and I thought was good. We haven't seen the last of Team 3D for the night.
  • Gail Kim (c) vs. ODB vs. Angel Williams vs. Roxxi Leveaux (TNA Women's Championship): This was an amazingly easy one to predict. It was also a rather good match from what I hear. I have to say I am highly impressed with TNA's Women's Division. You have a lot of good athletes in there and all of these chicks have a more than basic idea of what they're doing. WWE's chicks are just eye-candy while TNA's chicks are eye-candy who can do a really good job at doubling as wrestlers. Really good stuff. I do have to say though, ODB is rather humorous.
  • Jay Lethal (c) vs. Sonjay Dutt (TNA X Division Title): It was sort of a filler match if you will. It gave the X Division some exposure which it has been lacking lately. The ending though was really something. We seriously saw the invention of the modern day Macho Man Randy Savage, a very humorous Sonjay Dutt, and the new Miss Elizabeth (SoCal Val). Unfortunately, Team 3D came and ruined it by taking out Sonjay & Lethal and then abducted the X Division Title saying that the X Division must suffer for what MCMG did.
  • AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. The Steiners (TNA Tag Team Championship): I know I said Steiners, but AJ & Tomko had a really fair shot. Anyway, I thought they might implode but that wasn't the case and I think they worked better together than they usually do. It's just their style I guess.
  • Samoan Joseph vs. Robert Roode: I thought we would see more action from this but it was interesting enough at least. I thought we would see more Ms. Brooks stuff but what we saw really did suck. All that happened was that she was taken out but we're not sure how or by who but I'm assuming Rain and with some kind of random object. Anyway, it sucked but the match was good.
  • Kaz vs. Christian Cage (Fight for the Right Finals) (Ladder Match): You all know how I feel about Kaz. Therefore, it sucked. And Tomko and AJ cost Cage the match, which is something else you could have guessed because they always seem to do that when it's important for Cage. Anyway, no further opinion.
  • Kurt Angle (c) & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Mystery Partner (Tag Team Match for the TNA Heavyweight Title): I hate the concept of a tag match for a title change but whatever. Anyway, Angle kept the title which makes me thing that Sting is screwed for a title reign before he retires. I only really stuck with the PPV to see who the mystery partner is (and it was Booker T). I was rather surprised at the end when Tomko and AJ came out and helped Angle and Cage had no clue what was happening. I knew the Coalition was going to implode, just I wasn't sure how. Anyway, we also saw Sharmell get into a cat fight with Karen Angle so this could get reallllllly interesting.

Anyway, overall good PPV. I was just really shocked by some of the stuff that happened and I was also disappointed by a few things.

I think Booker T returning was awesome. Especially as the old skool WCW/early WWE Booker T. This King Bookuh stuff was BS. Anyway, good luck Booker and hopefully things work out for us on the fan/mark side.

I was NOT expecting the debut of Redrum but I think that maybe that was the point. Anyway, he's a decent replacement for Judas and I can't wait to see what he can do. I'm also rather excited at having another new, twisted character to cheer for outside of Black Reign, Raven, and Mesias. For some reason I have a thing about twisted, heel wrestlers. They're amazing.

WWE has signed Diva Search reject Lena to a contract to be a backstage interviewer on ECW and possibly a wrestler. Supposedly she is in Tampa starting her training by taking minor bumps and things like that.

Lastly, Junior Fatu might not be done with TNA. According to him he wasn't at the iMPACT! tapings because of prior commitments and he was never really done with TNA to begin with and he wasn't sent packing. Supposedly his travel arrangements can get messed up because he lives in two different areas of the US so hopefully we see him at the next tapings. I'm excited to see him again.

Genesis Predictions

Oh yes! The time is here! It's time for the predictions for Genesis! Woohoo! Here goes ....
  • Team 3D vs. Motor City Machine Guns: The clear winners here are MCMG, hands down. It's just how TNA operates. They're a very "happy ending" type of promotion. You could also see a few run-ins from other X Division guys. I wouldn't be amazed to see Havok, Triple X, Petey Williams, or Shark Boy get involved. Anyway, the numbers game is huge going into this match. 3D doesn't have the man power. PROBABLE WINNERS: MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS
  • Samoan Joseph vs. Robert Roode w/ Ms. Brooks: Once again, very happy ending promotion so Joe's got this in the bag. I'm sure Roode will put up a good fight but in the end Joe will hold out. I'm also predicting an end to the whole Roode/Brooks problem. She'll possibly cost him the match and quit. Or accidently cost him the match and be fired. If this does occur we'll be seeing the hiring of the planted fan in the crowd on the next iMPACT!. PROBABLE WINNER: SAMOAN JOSEPH
  • Abyss vs. Black Reign (Shop of Horrors match): It's about time Abyss loses so I'll go out on a limb and say Black Reign will win. Seriously, Abyss can only last so long before the numbers game catches up to him. I wouldn't be surprised to see the return of Judas Mesias tonight to help Black Reign pull off the victory here. I wouldn't be surprised to see a run in from Raven and Havok either. Whatever occurs, I'm going for who I'm rooting for in this match, not who might win. PROBABLE WINNER: BLACK REIGN
  • Kaz vs. Christian Cage (Fight for the Right Finals) (Ladder Match): Kaz has this in the bag. I don't care how many people get involved in this match, plus usually when Tomko and AJ are involved in a match later in the night they don't help out Cage. Plus Kaz is on a huge push right now and I'm sure that eventually he's going to be the TNA Heavyweight Champion. Only to be toppled by Raven. Mwahahaha! Sorry .... Why does every post have a mention of Raven? No clue, but yeah, Kaz gets it. PROBABLE WINNER: KAZ
  • Gail Kim (c) vs. ODB vs. Roxxi Laveaux vs. Angel Williams (TNA Women's Championship): Nobody in this match has a shot, plus Kim can't drop the title that quick. This division is believed to have been built around her so Kim isn't losing anything. PROBABLE WINNER: GAIL KIM
  • AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs. The Steiners (TNA Tag Team Championship): I'm going for the Steiners in this one. I have the feeling the Coalition isn't on the right page after AJ became "team captain". Tomko seems to be getting fed up so he could intentionally cost them the match. Or, Styles could get overzealous and cost them the match enraging Tomko. Anyway, I think we might be seeing an end to Tomko and the Coalition soon. PROBABLE WINNERS: THE STEINERS
  • Jay Lethal (c) vs. Sonjay Dutt (TNA X Division Championship): Jay Lethal is going to be winning this one. Sonjay Dutt doesn't seem ready to hold the title and I think this might be a title match just so the X Division gets it's spot on the PPV. I would be really amazed if Sonjay did win and if he did win he wouldn't be holding it long. It'd be like Havok winning the TNA Heavyweight title, it won't last. I think we might also see a furtherance of the Jay Lethal/SoCal Val storyline because something might be going on there. PROBABLE WINNER: JAY LETHAL
  • Kurt Angle (c) & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Booker T (because we all know it's him) (TNA Heavyweight Title): The way this match works is whoever gets the pin on whoever wins the title. It's pretty stupid way to do it but whatever. Anyway, the real question heading into this was who is Sting's mystery partner, and we all know by now that it's Booker (coming in as Booker T because King Booker is owned by WWE). Anyway, they won't hand the title to a guy just walking in the door because of the history of guys coming and going. Nash is just just getting back in the ring and I have the feeling that Angle isn't keeping this title. Which leaves us with Sting, he needs one good title reign before he retires and I think this might be it. PROBABLE WINNER: STING

And that's about it. I'll be posting this on The Daily Suplex as well, which I encourage you to check out at http://www.thedailysuplex.com. Until later =)

Divas Gone From WWE? ... Speculate On What A Shop of Horrors Match Is

As many people have noticed, the Divas are removed from WWE.com. It is believed they have been pulled for a redesign of that section although I'm hoping that's just gone. I'm hoping it's just that because we've already dropped the Cruiserweight title and stuff. It probably is but just to be safe keep an eye out.

Now my real question for Genesis is what the hell is a Shop of Horrors match? From what I take it's a no-DQ, hardcore sort of match. But you guys know about Black Reign's little shop in the back? Maybe it's something that involves tools and things like that? Or it could be the type of moniker that WCW used in hardcore matches that involved Raven (Raven's Rules). I dunno but that's my question.

See me tomorrow for my predictions for Genesis and and check out thedailysuplex.com to see what's going on over there. They get news out quicker than I do.

CNN Screws up Cena Interview ... Chyna changes name? ... Video of Hogan crash revealed ... TNA has own saveus.222 ... TNA screw up

Word is that during the John Cena interview on CNN they completely screwed up what Cena was trying to say. I'm not going to voice my opinion, I'm just going to let the videos speak for themselves because this is just completely ridiculous.

Edited by CNN Version
Unedited Version Caught by WWE Cameras

Anyway, according to TMZ.com Joanie Marie Laurer has officially changed her name to Chyna. She issued a challenge to Vince McMahon saying, "Do I want to go back to get abused by you and get punched in the head every day and have people not stand up for me besides the fans? No. Would I like to go back for one day representing myself and all these people to kick your ass and your ass only? Cause you are the boss, right Vince? Then I would love to do it. You know my number. You know where I live, obviously. And you know my name. Bring it, Vince!" Obviously, she's eithering hitting the same drugs Warrior was hitting when he changed his name or she didn't get WWE's "We'll Pay For Your Rehab" letter. Either way, she's just being really stupid. Mind you, when I was little I used to look up to her. So, thank's for making me respect the new skanks more than you.

According to Nick 'Hogan' Bollea's attorney there is a video that proves all the 'eye-witnesses' were lying when they said Bollea was racing when he crashed his car severely injuring his friend John Graziano (I got the name today). The video shows that the guy they were 'racing' was stuck behind a stalled car therefore they wouldn't know if they were and there was no chance they were. Therefore, I guess the attorney is trying to say is just because he's the child of a celebrity everybody is trying to get him in trouble and put him on the same pedestal as all of the other Hollywood trainwrecks. Nice. I'll keep you updated on how this goes down.

TNA has decided to release it's own (rather late) version of SaveUs.222. It's a puzzle that is found at 11t11n07a.com. There are several things that give it away that it's Booker T at Genesis. It has a picture of Sting in the upper-left corner along with Huffman and Bordon spelt backwards. Bordon is Sting's last name and Huffman is Booker's last name. It also says Genesis and the initials BT at the bottom. Done. And a little too obvious. If you do go and make the puzzle, you have to flip a few pieces and you do this by pressing Spacebar while the piece is highlighted in red.

And a really quick piece of news that shows you how gaff TNA is. They originally said it was Jay Lethal vs. Elix Skipper for the X Division Title on TNAWrestling.com while on air they said it was Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt for the X Division Title. They finally cleared it up however. Nice going TNAWrestling.com web team!

Sting's Mystery Partner is Still Just That .. A Mystery

TNA was kind of annoying and wasn't really that great. Brief opinions in bulleted notation:
  • Karen Angle's attempts to "take care of business" are getting redundant and annoying. They need to end this running gag because it's beginning to make me gag.
  • I wouldn't have minded seeing Chris Harris complaining tonight myself.
  • The Gail Kim vs. (insert chick jobber's name here) match wasn't that great. The end just sucked too. This match isn't going to be great at Genesis.
  • Who the hell has ever seen a female jobber?
  • We had a typical tag team moment with Black Reign getting involved and an X-Division guy getting taken out.
  • Who say Sonjay Dutt getting a title shot? I definately didn't.
  • That Kaz vs. Cage match for B/S. Maybe it's because I'm a huge Raven fan I dunno but I hope that Cage owns Kaz wicked bad.

Other than that nothing really noteable happened.
